In my head canon, Kanji has Tamaki-esque OOC fantasies about Naoto, which he constantly scolds himself for (as illustrated in crappy drawing above). Text reads:
Rise: Hey, Naoto-kun! I hear the place we’re staying at is haunted.
Naoto: Is that so?
Naoto: Kanji-kun, I’m scared of the ghosts.
Kanji: Just stay close to me, Naoto. I’ll protect you.
Naoto: Kanji-kun
Kanji: Wait! What am I thinking? Naoto’s stronger than that! Of course that would never happen! Etc etc
Rise: Is he gonna be okay?
Naoto: Yeah. This happens sometimes.
